From risk to action: Preventing liver health crises through NCD literacy and care 

Liver health is a growing public health priority in Europe, with chronic liver diseases and liver cancer placing increasing strain on patients, health systems, and economies.

Despite being largely preventable, liver conditions often go undetected until advanced stages, underscoring the urgent need for early detection, better care coordination, and stronger public awareness.

Through focused discussions and real-life testimonials, we will examine the challenges of managing co-morbidities, the role of patient organisations in shaping care pathways, and how EU initiatives and policies can support innovative solutions, from prevention to treatment, especially in the fight against liver cancer.
