A commentary by Stefano Marino published by NT+ Diritto / Il Sole 24 Ore (link below): On June 17, 2025, trilateral negotiations officially began in Brussels between the Commission, Parliament, and Council of the European Union on the new Directive and Regulation texts that make up the legislative package under discussion, approved by the Council on June 4, after the amendments introduced by the European Parliament to the original text proposed by the Commission in April 2023. The next technical and political meetings will take place after the imminent inauguration of the Danish Presidency, which has included the adoption of the legislation by the end of 2025 in its program, a goal also shared by the European Commissioner for Health, Oliver Varhelyi.
